Qualities of a Good Leader

I’m often talking to executives and organisations about #leadership and what makes a good leader. After reading & reflecting on Alastair Clarkson letter he penned to the members @nortmelbournefc it got my grey matter intrigued again trying to understand what are the key ingredients…

Here are a few I came up with.

• Bravery,
• Vulnerability,
• Courage,
• Integrity,
• Assertiveness,
• Empathetic,
• Reliability,
• Self Awareness,
• Self Belief,
• Loyalty

However, there is one we often miss, “HONESTY”.

Recognised as one of the greatest coaches in the @AFL to show and then to admit he had a problem speaks volumes to man Alastair Clarkson is. You cannot control a situation until you own the situation.

I continually preach to my clients that health is wealth, and this is another example of this.
