Creating Leaders
Believe it or not your workforce is full of great leaders. Some people are aware of their leadership ability, but others are just waiting for the opportunity. So, what are the skills that I believe great leaders possess.
Firstly, they need great communication skill. They need to be able to articulate their vision with clarity whilst also being exceptional listeners. Many are one dimensional communicators, so I encourage you to listen more. Leaders also need to show adaptability and make timely decisions. Great leaders weigh the pros and cons, analyse data and remain confident in their decision. Another key ingredient is empowering those around you. If you can increase individual’s employee potential by 5% each your company growth will be substantial. Finally, great leaders are resilient. They negotiate challenges and setbacks and work on perseverance rather than problems.
