Avoiding Executive Burnout
Avoiding executive burnout is crucial for maintaining productivity and well-being. I deal with it every day, Execs pushing harder, working longer, chasing the deal, the dollar, sacrificing everything for their perceived ‘success’.
Health for many is never a priority, more often than not an afterthought. So, if you are burning the candle, eating poorly, drinking to much and not doing enough for yourself start by setting clear boundaries between work and personal life. Delegate tasks to trusted team members, consider practicing mindfulness or meditation, or just take a few regular breaks. I’d also encourage you to engage in some physical activity. Something is better than nothing, just increase your heart rate through structure exercise. If nothing else priories self-care and seeking professional support if necessary.
